Service is attempted within 48 hours of receiving the papers. If the party is not at the location of service then additional attempts are made within 24 hours unless otherwise requested by the attorney. Rush service is also available for an additional charge.
How many attempts are generally made?
You are guaranteed that at least three attempts will be made unless information is obtained that the party is no longer at that location. Additional charges apply for a new address and skip tracing.
What is rush service?
Rush service is specially requested by an attorney for immediate attention. After receiving the documents, we will have a process server ready to make an immediate attempt. Your paper will be attempted within 24 hours or when you specify. There is an additional fee to obtain such service.
Are your process servers certified by the Texas Supreme Court?
YES, our servers are Certified.
Do you front witness fees?
YES! We front witness fees as long as you have an account opened up with Still Waters Process. To open account, simply call and give us your information. Accounts are FREE! Also there is NO extra charge for fronting a witness fee. This is a complimentary service offered by us. Most firms will charge you an extra $5.00 to front fees. We never have and never will.
Why should I use Still Waters Process instead of the local Constable officers?
The sheriff or constable department does offer process serving, however, many sheriff or constable departments are backlogged and do not offer extra care, diligence and dedication to completing more difficult serves. They do not offer rush service and special coordination requests. Still Waters Process takes pride in serving papers quickly and using its in house skip tracing team to track individuals avoiding service or individuals who have moved. You can even ask for same day, rush service. We also mail out affidavits of service the same day our returns are in the office.
Why should I use Still Waters Process for document retrieval?
We offer fast, dependable document retrieval from the courthouses within Harris, Montgomery, and Walker Counties as quickly as same day. Our trained staff know how to retrieve all of the documents relevant to your case in a timely matter.
